Picture this: a graphic designer, who’s always been a staunch opponent of AI in the creative arts, has a sudden change of heart. Curious about what led to this drastic shift? Here is a conversation between me and my friend, as we discuss the undeniable impact of AI on our professional lives. So, grab a cup of your favourite beverage, (green tea for me) get comfortable, and eavesdrop on our chat as we dive into the future of AI and its implications for creatives everywhere.

Here is our [abbreviated and edited] text conversation:

FRIEND: So I am recanting my stance on AI. I’m getting a Midjourney account and I am going to start learning that s#!t.

ME: What made you pivot like that? I am surprised… but right on man!!!

FRIEND: I guess the idea is that whatever my personal opinion of it, I have a choice of either embracing it professionally (if not personally) or being left behind. And I like things such as having a roof over my head, or an income, stuff like that. So at least for professional stuff I better get on board as a fairly early adopter. Personal use/views are another matter, and I’ll probably take up…
