Thanks for your comment. The "Kodak moment" was a brilliant marketing campaign. It's unfortunate that such a great company mishandled the transition to digital photography and failed to capitalize on their own inventions—much like how Google missed the opportunity with GPT, allowing OpenAI to surge ahead.

Regarding the loss of aura due to sharing, I completely agree. We produce too many images and spend too little time truly enjoying them. A friend of mine recently gave a private presentation of his digital photographs from a trip to Machu Picchu. We were captivated by his storytelling, with the images beautifully complementing his narrative. Perhaps there are more polished stories online, but we didn't care. The intimacy and authenticity made it a magical experience, even though the audience was small and his efforts weren't monetized.

Self-broadcasting is indeed becoming a giant bore. I'd rather look at a tree bathed in sunlight than scroll through content-sharing platforms serving up visual spam. Maybe every second counts, but we can't truly appreciate them in the moment they occur. The true aura of images and experiences shines brightest when we reflect upon them with emotional retrospection.
