Technology is a double edge sword, AI makes it a bit more obvious than other manifestations of the essence of technology (which is not technological in itself, at least not in technology as a tool sense). As a tool, the most dangerous recent information technology is probably the telephone... have you heard the theory of how fax machines brought down the Communist regime in Eastern Europe? A small invention in telephony using the existing telephone network but was impossible for the authorities to intercept or control information transfer between two fax terminals without outright shutting down the entire system. In a paradigm to our current digital world scenario the Internet is our system and AIs are our fax machines. What will crumble as a result of imaginative use of AI no WEF panelist is ever going to even hint at indirectly. But listen closely and you can hear the murmurs of what's coming between the lines... 'nobody knows what happens next' is just as a mirror of 'everybody knows what has already happen' -- the future is already here, just not evenly distributed... and the past is not understood well enough for us not to repeat it...

Lots more to discuss and examine in this space. Thanks for your comments!
