I would like to think we are capable of being prudent species, contrary to the popular evidence around us. Yes, we made the atomic bomb but also penicillin... Even if we don't always manage to be cautious, aware, or ethical, we know these are qualities to aspire toward. And we know how to improve ourselves... we know HOW to do better and WHY it is in our collective interest to do so.
