Everyone has the right to respond in whatever way they like. I accept all critical interactions, including yours, as great advice and will try to improve how I speak about this issue. Probably not in the way you and other critics would like though... I have been thinking a lot about how emotional the responses have been to this piece. As you may notice, I try to respond to all genuine comments the best way I can. If this was too clickbaity... well, I accept that criticism too, when expressed in an honest and civilized manner, as you have done in your comment. I appreciate that. Honestly! Do you think I should delete the article? Not to say that I would do it, but I'm interested in what you think I should do with this... some comments, even the critical ones, are encouraging the opposite right now...

What I have learned from this fairly random 'share' of ideas I came across, is that "AI Escape' is a loaded gun in the comedy of arguments floating around AI narratives. This article is an interesting lighting rod for a lot of varying opinions out there. The rhetoric emerging from the comments on the article is very insightful for researchers and others reporting on AI. It unveils the gamut of where popular sensitivities and information gaps are vis-a-vis AI... I have been responding to the comments on Medium and I have written blog posts to address some gaps. I hide only comments with ad hominem attacks that add nothing but insults to the conversation... A critical conversation and comments are always welcome! I don't shy away from learning... Let me know how this article could've been written differently. Should I include in the title for example: JOKE ALERT: THIS IS ONLY A TEST OF YOUR FUNNY BONE: NOTICE-FOR PEOPLE WITH A SENSE OF HUMOUR ONLY... or something like that, or maybe a different disclaimer or warning...
